About this product

When your pet suffers a scrape, cut, insect bite or patch of irritated skin, having a trusted first-aid ointment to hand makes all the difference. Beaphar's Wound Ointment with Calendula and Aloe Vera is a gentle, natural formula designed to soothe and support the healing of superficial skin wounds in dogs, cats, birds, and small animals.

Calendula has long been prized in natural medicine for its powerful skin-soothing and wound-healing properties, helping to calm the skin and encourage recovery. Aloe Vera complements this by reducing inflammation, easing redness, and relieving the discomfort caused by insect bites and general irritation.

This multipack of three 30ml tubes ensures you always have a tube ready wherever you need it — at home, in your pet first-aid kit, or on the go. It's the kind of everyday essential that every pet owner should keep close to hand.

Skin & allergies FAQs

Helpful answers for choosing gentle skin, itch and allergy support for your dog.

Is this suitable for all pets?

Yes, this wound ointment is suitable for dogs, cats, birds, and small animals. Its gentle, natural formula makes it safe for use across a wide range of pets. If your pet has a known allergy to any of the ingredients, consult your vet before use.

What types of wounds or skin issues can I use this for?

This ointment is ideal for superficial scrapes, minor cuts, insect bites, dry or chapped skin, and general skin irritation. It is not intended for deep wounds, puncture wounds, or serious injuries — always consult your vet if you are unsure about the severity of your pet's wound.

How often should I apply the ointment?

Apply a thin layer to the affected area two to three times daily, or as directed by your vet. Gently clean the area before each application where possible. Continue use until the skin has healed, and monitor the area for any signs of infection such as swelling, discharge, or increased redness.

Should I stop my pet licking the ointment off?

It is best to discourage your pet from licking the treated area immediately after application to allow the ointment to absorb and take effect. You may wish to use a soft collar if licking is persistent. While the ingredients are natural, ingestion in large amounts is not recommended. Contact your vet if you have concerns.
