About this product

When your dog needs protection for both front legs after surgery, injury, or a skin condition, the last thing you want is a floppy cone making them miserable — or a bulky bandage they'll have chewed off before you've left the room. The MPS Double Front Leg Sleeve is a vet-grade recovery garment designed to cover and protect both front limbs simultaneously, offering a calm, stress-free alternative to traditional cones and dressings.

Used by veterinary professionals across Europe as a trusted clinical wound protection solution, this sleeve keeps post-operative sites, hot spots, skin conditions, and wounds clean, covered, and safe from licking, chewing, and contamination. The soft, breathable stretch fabric moves naturally with your dog's body, reducing anxiety and allowing them to walk, rest, and recover in comfort.

Unlike rigid cones or awkward bandages, the Double Front Leg Sleeve stays securely in place without restricting your dog's vision, eating, or natural movement. It's designed to be kind — to your dog, to healing wounds, and to your peace of mind during recovery.

Instructions for use

Select the correct size using the MPS sizing guide before first use. Guide your dog's front legs through the two leg openings, then wrap and fasten the body panel across the chest and back using the built-in closures. Check the fit — the sleeve should be snug but not restrictive, with no exposed wound edges. Inspect the wound site and sleeve condition twice daily. Remove for supervised toilet breaks if required, and refit immediately afterwards. Replace or launder the sleeve as directed by your vet.

Helpful answers for choosing gentle skin, itch and allergy support for your dog.

Is this suitable for all dog breeds and sizes?

The Double Front Leg Sleeve is available in multiple sizes to suit a wide range of breeds, from small terriers to large retrievers. Use the MPS sizing guide to measure your dog's chest girth and leg circumference for the best fit. A well-fitted sleeve stays in place without restricting movement or circulation.

Can my dog wear this after surgery on just one front leg?

Yes. While the garment covers both front legs simultaneously, it is perfectly suitable for single-leg recoveries. Many vets prefer the double sleeve for added stability and to prevent the dog compensating awkwardly. It also protects the unaffected leg from any secondary licking or irritation.

How do I put the sleeve on my dog correctly?

Lay the sleeve flat and guide your dog's front legs through each tube opening, then fasten the body panel securely over the back and chest using the integrated closures. Ensure you can comfortably slide two fingers beneath the fabric — snug but not tight. Full fitting instructions are included with the garment.

Is the sleeve machine washable?

Yes. The MPS Double Front Leg Sleeve is made from a breathable, stretchy medical-grade fabric that can be machine washed at 30°C on a gentle cycle. Allow to air dry fully before reuse. We recommend having a spare sleeve on hand during recovery so your dog is never left unprotected during wash cycles.
