Unlike many traditional balms, Animology's formula is designed to be less oily and easier to apply, so it absorbs quickly without leaving greasy residue on your floors or furniture. Clean and dry the affected area before applying. Scoop a small amount of balm onto your fingertip and gently massage into your dog's paw pads, between the toes, or onto the nose. Allow a few minutes for the balm to absorb. Distract your dog to prevent licking during this time. Use 2–3 times per week for maintenance, or daily for dry, cracked, or sore skin until improved.

For external use on dogs only. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult your veterinarian. Not intended for human use. Keep out of reach of children and pets when not in use. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Replace lid firmly after each use.
