About this product

Accidents happen — and when they do, you want something reliable, safe and fast-acting close to hand. This Dog First Aid Antiseptic Spray from OurDogsLife is powered by hypochlorous acid (HOCl), a naturally occurring antimicrobial compound produced by the body's own immune system to fight infection.

Clinically tested to kill 99.99% of bacteria, the formula works quickly to clean wounds, reduce the risk of infection and actively support the skin's natural healing process. Unlike traditional antiseptic products, it contains no alcohol, no steroids and no harsh chemicals — so it won't sting, burn or damage the healthy tissue around a wound.

The 250ml spray bottle is perfectly sized for a home first aid kit, dog bag or car glove box, ensuring you're always prepared whether you're on a countryside walk, at the beach or simply in the back garden. Gentle enough for daily skin maintenance yet effective enough for cuts, grazes, hotspots and post-operative wound care, this is one product every dog owner should have within easy reach.

Ingredients

Electrolysed water, Hypochlorous acid (HOCl), Sodium chloride (NaCl)

Instructions for use

Shake gently before use. Hold the bottle 5–10 cm from the affected area and spray directly onto the wound, cut, graze or irritated skin. Allow to air dry — do not rinse off. Apply two to three times daily for minor wounds, or as directed by your vet. For general skin maintenance, apply once daily. Suitable for topical use only. Avoid contact with eyes. If spraying near the face, apply to a clean cloth or gauze pad first and gently dab onto the area.

Skin & allergy support

Skin & allergies FAQs

Helpful answers for choosing gentle skin, itch and allergy support for your dog.

Is this safe to use on open wounds?

Yes. The hypochlorous acid (HOCl) formula is clinically tested and gentle enough for use directly on cuts, grazes and open minor wounds. Unlike traditional antiseptics, it does not sting or damage healthy tissue, making it ideal for treating injuries on even the most sensitive dogs.

Is hypochlorous acid safe if my dog licks the treated area?

Hypochlorous acid is a naturally occurring compound that is non-toxic and safe if licked in small amounts. It is the same substance produced by the body's own immune cells to fight infection. That said, we recommend allowing the spray to dry before letting your dog lick the area, and using a collar if your dog is prone to excessive licking of wounds.

How often should I apply the spray?

For minor cuts, grazes or irritated skin, apply two to three times daily or as needed until the area has healed. For general skin maintenance or hotspot management, once daily is typically sufficient. If the wound shows no sign of improvement within 48 hours, or worsens, consult your vet.

Can I use this spray on puppies or dogs with sensitive skin?

Yes. The formula is free from alcohol, steroids and harsh chemicals, making it suitable for puppies, elderly dogs and breeds with sensitive or allergy-prone skin. It supports the skin's natural healing process without causing irritation, dryness or discomfort.
