Balto® Up – Rear Harness Support

A rear support harness with height-adjustable handles — takes the weight off failing back legs without you bending double or resorting to a towel.

• Fit the harness around the hind end with your dog standing, if they can, or lying if not.
• Adjust the straps so the harness sits level and doesn't slide back towards the tail.
• Set the handle height so you can hold it standing upright, not stooped.
• Lift with your legs, not your back, and let your dog do as much of the work as they can.
• Support — don't carry. The aim is to take some of the weight, not all of it.
• Take the splints out for arthritis, where compression matters more than stiffness.
• Check the skin under the straps daily, especially on a dog who spends a lot of time lying down.

Sudden hind leg weakness needs a vet, not a harness. It can indicate a spinal problem where hours matter. Use this to support a diagnosed condition.

Hand wash in cool water with mild soap and air dry away from direct heat. Don't tumble dry, and don't put it on a radiator — heat distorts the shaping and the velcro.
