Balto® Neck Eco – E-Collar Alternative

A soft, padded collar that stops your dog reaching a wound — without blocking their vision or banging into every doorframe. Body coverage only.

• Fit the collar where your dog's normal collar sits, with the wide section supporting the neck.
• Choose which way round to wear it: extended side below the neck, or flipped so it runs down the spine to limit flexion.
• Snug, not tight. Two fingers should slide under it comfortably.
• Test it before leaving your dog alone — watch them try to reach the wound and confirm they can't.
• Take it off daily to check both the wound and the skin under the collar.

Body coverage only. This collar stops neck extension, so it cannot stop a dog reaching their paws, ears or eyes — for those you still need a traditional cone. Balto also advise against it for sighthounds and bulldogs, whose head and neck shape means it won't work reliably.

• Watch your dog attempt to reach the wound before trusting it unsupervised.
• Check the wound and the skin under the collar every day.
• It does not provide cervical support — if you need actual neck support, use the Balto Neck instead.
• Remove for supervised eating and drinking if your dog struggles at first.
• For dogs under two years old, use in balanced intervals.

Hand wash in cool water with mild soap and air dry away from direct heat. Don't tumble dry, and don't put it on a radiator.
